W.G.Dodds & Son Limited
Bowesfield Industrial Estate
Stockton on Tees
Local installation is included with all garden buildings.
All installations will be pre-booked with the customer and certain requirements will be outlined prior to any installation. Installations are carried out by professional installers with many years experience in the timber and joinery trade.
The customer must ensure that the proposed building location is both firm and level, of a concrete or paved base construction and must be no less than the plan size of the proposed building. A solid foundation will not only give great support to your garden building but will also increase its life span. Upon smaller timber buildings, the use of 3"x 1 1/2" (75 x 38mm) pressure treated timber floor bearers at 18" to 2’ centres upon a solid and level ground may be suitable.
The proposed position of your garden building should be free from any obstructions and impediments such as tree branches and plants. As most sections are too big to be passed through a front door or garage, we ask that your location has good and unrestricted access to allow the easy transfer of these larger building sections. It is the responsibility of the customer’s to make sure full access is available for all building sections as this may result in failed delivery or installation charges. If you have any access worries or concerns, please contact us before you place your order for some advice.
It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange an appropriate base for the building. If the base is unprepared or inadequate for your purchased building and if installation has not been cancelled prior to delivery, the building will be left with the customer for self-assembly at a later date.
It is possible to arrange a re-installation for a later date; however an extra charge will be imposed.
Dodds can put you in contact with one of their approved shed base installers if required. The recommended Installers have all been carefully selected and are highly experienced professionals.
